Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman, an Olympic gold medalist gymnast has took America to victory in both 2012 and 2016. U.S. to victory in both 2012 and 2016. The American has collected six Olympic medals in total she was also a part of two gold medal-winning World Championships teams. Aly is from Needham which is located in Massachusetts. Her passion for gymnastics can be traced through an 18-month-old "mommy as me" class. Aly is a leader on and off the floor, and a fierce champion of body positivity. This was evident recently as she came out in support of Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman, born in 1994 began gymnastics as when she was a child. She was instrumental in helping her U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. The following year, she won two gold medals--one in the team contest and one in the individual floor exercise. She also won a bronze medal on the beam at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. In the year 2016 Raisman returned to compete at the Olympics in Rio with silver medals in the single floor and all-around final and a gold for the team women's competition. In 2017, Raisman revealed she had suffered sexual assault at the hands of former team physician Larry Nassar, and the following year she brought a suit against USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
