Charlotte Church

Charlotte Church is a Welsh musician who gained prominence when she released her debut album "Voices of Angels" as young as twelve years old. She's been an accomplished actor as well as a singer. She has also presented television shows. She was able to demonstrate a talent of singing since a very young age and has been singing publicly from the time she was only three and five years old. She started out as an hymn singer, and eventually was able to sing "Pie Jesu" via the telephone for an upcoming TV show when she was eleven. The public was then exposed to her by her appearance in the "Big show for Big Talent". She sang at shows in Cardiff Arms Park, and Royal Albert Hall. Jonathan Shalit recognized Charlotte's talent and helped sign her contract to Sony Music. He also became her manager. Her first album 'Voice of an Angel' released in 1999 and became an instant sensation, becoming the youngest artist with an album that was ranked as a No. The British crossover classical charts ranked her album as No. one in 1999. She has seen her fame rise over the past couple of years. She's been invited to appear in front of celebrities such as past US President Clinton, Prince Charles of Wales as well as Pope John Paul.
